Our Organization
Women of the Shield is an organization that wishes to empower women joining careers in law enforcement and criminal justice. Historically, women make up a small percentage in federal, state, and local law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, as it was formerly a male-dominated profession. While women have made progress in the workplace, there is still much to be done to increase the number of female personnel in law enforcement. With the support and encouragement of this organization, we hope to inspire more women to join this profession. We are beyond confident in the capability of women to excel in the field of criminal justice.
Our Mission
Our mission is to service the law enforcement community by empowering and resourcing women in law enforcement and the men who support them, while advocating for and equipping women interested in entering the criminal justice field.
